Baseball Recap: Clarksdale Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Clarksdale was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the Lafayette Commodores. The Wildcats have struggled against the Commodores recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Clarksdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terrell Johhnson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Clarksdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lafayette, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-6.

While Clarksdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
