The Grossmont Foothillers are taking a road trip to take on the El Camino Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grossmont is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Grossmont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Canyon Crest Academy.
Grossmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-23.

Grossmont can attribute much of their success to Jacqueline Villalobos, who had six aces and four digs, and Kayla Kenis, who had six digs and two aces. What's more, Kenis posted two assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.
They weren't the only good servers: Grossmont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, El Camino posted their closest win since September 27th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Lincoln.
El Camino took Lincoln into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 17-25, 19-25, 15-11.
Grossmont better keep an eye on Makayla Boone. She was instrumental in El Camino's win, getting 24 digs and two assists.
Grossmont's record is now 23-10. As for El Camino, their record now sits at 29-11.
