Football Game Preview: Windham Whippets vs. Ledyard Colonels + Official Tickets

The Windham Whippets will take on the Ledyard Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Windham is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Windham and Woodstock Academy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Whippets lost 36-14 to the Centaurs.

Ledyard had taken Waterford down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end last Friday. The Colonels were just a hair shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Lancers. The Colonels gained 135 more yards on the day, but it was the Lancers that made the best use of them.

Windham will have to contain Jackson Favry as he made an impact in Ledyard's last game. He rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Ledyard's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Windham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Windham came out on top in a nail-biter against Ledyard in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 17-14. Do the Whippets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
