Basketball Recap: Yosemite Takes a Loss

Yosemite lost against Fresno Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yosemite Badgers were beaten by the Fresno Christian Eagles 93-18. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1344th, while the Eagles are ranked 201st).

Yosemite's loss came despite strong showings from Lucas McGoldrick and Sam Temores. McGoldrick posted ten points and four steals, while Temores put up no points. That's the most steals McGoldrick has posted since back in January of 2024.

Yosemite dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Fresno Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Yosemite has already played their next match, a 57-35 loss against Fowler on the 17th. As for Fresno Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 88-35 win against Caruthers on the 17th.
