Vincennes Lincoln took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Evansville North, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Alices won by a run and slipped past the Huskies 7-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Alices as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Addy Alton was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Grace Archer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.
Vincennes Lincoln's record now sits at 10-11. As for Evansville North, their record is now 12-10.
Coming up, Vincennes Lincoln is taking a road trip to take on Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evansville North, they will face off against Pike Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
