Basketball Recap: Quinton Comes Up Short

Quinton was the 63-58 winner over Wetumka when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Savages lost 58-33 to the Chieftains on Thursday. The Savages have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Quinton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Wetumka, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Quinton and Wetumka could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Savages will take on Porum at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (246 vs. 82). Meanwhile, Wetumka (ranked 343rd) will meet Crowder (ranked 169th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
