Corona del Sol got a great performance from Brett Crossland as he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Crossland has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Conor Rae was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. David Moss was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Corona del Sol always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as O'Connor only posted an OBP of .378.
Meanwhile, Casteel faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Colts came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies, sneaking past 9-7. Surprisingly, this marked the Colts' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Connor Russell was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Dodd, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Corona del Sol is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Casteel, their victory bumped their record up to 22-9.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Corona del Sol hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Casteel struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Corona del Sol might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Casteel in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Aztecs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
