Volleyball Recap: El Paso Starts Season with Loss at Home

El Paso unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coronado Thunderbirds on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Thunderbirds: they've now lost nine in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 25-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Paso will challenge Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coronado, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Canutillo at 6:30 p.m. on September 5.
