Elyria won the last time they faced Midview and things went their way on Friday too. The Pioneers took their game with ease, bagging an 81-40 victory over the Middies. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Jermiah Daniels had another great game (as he tends to do), going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 29 points. Those 29 points gave him a new career-high. Rondell Grimmett was another key player, putting up ten points.

Elyria was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They racked up nine more assists than Midview's also-impressive total of 11.

Midview's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Xavier Young, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Luke Jockel, who posted 11 points. With that strong performance, Young is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Caleb Kennedy, who put up four points.

Elyria is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.4 points over those games. As for Midview, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Elyria has already played their next game, an 82-72 victory against Westlake on the 10th. As for Midview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-42 loss against Steele on the 10th.
