Desert Oasis faced Sierra Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Diamondbacks came out on top against the Mountain Lions by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Diamondbacks as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The victory didn't come easy: Sierra Vista scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21.

Arthur Suarez paced Desert Oasis' offense, picking up 16 kills. Suarez got some help from Carter Aldridge and his 36 assists. Aldridge was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Desert Oasis' record is now 17-19. As for Sierra Vista, they dropped their record down to 18-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Desert Oasis will host Arbor View at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sierra Vista, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Legacy on the 30th.
