Football Game Preview: Horseshoe Bend Generals vs. Lanett Panthers + How To Watch

Horseshoe Bend is 1-7 against Lanett since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Generals will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Horseshoe Bend has given up an average of 49.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Horseshoe Bend had to suffer through a 55-7 loss at the hands of Loachapoka.

Meanwhile, while Lanett put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Central of Coosa County. The Panthers claimed a resounding 63-0 victory over the Cougars. That looming 63-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Lanett pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Horseshoe Bend, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Horseshoe Bend didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lanett in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
