Volleyball Recap: Maple Lake Gets the Win

While Maple Lake's win against Holdingford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Irish sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Huskers on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Irish.

Maple Lake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-27, 25-21, 25-19, 15-13.

The win got Maple Lake back to even at 9-9. As for Holdingford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Maple Lake has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Barnum on the 4th. As for Holdingford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Pillager on the 7th.
