Basketball Game Preview: Alhambra Lions vs. Central Bobcats

Alhambra is 0-10 against Central since December of 2014 but things could change on Friday. The Alhambra Lions just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Central Bobcats at 6:30 p.m.

Alhambra is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They fell 57-47 to Fairfax.

Meanwhile, Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Mustangs 82-44. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 38 points or more this season.

Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Alhambra was dealt a bruising 76-22 defeat at the hands of Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Alhambra was down 52-13.
