Baseball Game Preview: Beaverton Beavers vs. Tigard Tigers

The Beaverton Beavers will take on the Tigard Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Beaverton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Sandy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tigard came up short against Ida B. Wells on Tuesday, falling 9-1. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tigard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Jones, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base. Jones is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Tigard's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2-1. As for Beaverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
