Volleyball Recap: North Pocono Triumphs

North Pocono took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Valley View, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 3-2. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day North Pocono got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-8.

North Pocono's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Valley View, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Coincidentally, North Pocono and Valley View will both be playing West Scranton the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Invaders at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
