Basketball Game Preview: Lumpkin County Indians vs. White County Warriors

The Lumpkin County Indians will square off against the White County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lumpkin County has four straight wins, White County has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Lumpkin County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against North Hall by a score of 86-74 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, White County came up short against Dawson County on Thursday and fell 52-40.

Lumpkin County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for White County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Lumpkin County was able to grind out a solid victory over White County when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 50-37. Will Lumpkin County repeat their success, or does White County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
