Volleyball Recap: Millard Takes a Loss

After flying high against Juab on Thursday, Millard came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Uintah Utes by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Uintah scored at least nine points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 24-26, 23-25, 15-9.

Olivia Bassett paced Millard's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bassett got some help from Eden Rasmussen and her 32 assists. Bassett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Abbie Davis was a one-woman wrecking crew For Uintah. as she had 40 assists and four digs.

Millard's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Uintah, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Millard has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Richfield on the 15th. As for Uintah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against North Sevier on the 15th.
