Basketball Recap: J.H. Rose Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fike

J.H. Rose had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fike Golden Demons on Thursday. The Rampants were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

The victory got Fike back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. J.H. Rose will head out to face off against Hopewell at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rampants will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fike, they will challenge Rocky Mount at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
