The College Park Cavaliers will venture away from home to face off against the New Caney Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in College Park's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
College Park is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Cleveland: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cavaliers blew the Indians out of the water with a 70-0 final score. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cavaliers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Indians are ranked 952nd).

College Park relied on the efforts of Camden Hughes, who threw for 241 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 passes, and Kaylen Stephens, who rushed for 145 yards and one score on only nine carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Hughes has posted since back in September. Rodrigo Bravo Jr also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: College Park was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Caney). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Cleveland 56-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to COREY JOHNSON and JOHNNY GOMEZ. JOHNSON rushed for 192 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries while GOMEZ rushed for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. JOHNSON's longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
New Caney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as EMON BROWN, JAIDEN JORDAN, and KAMERON CLAY picked up one apiece. BROWN got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
College Park's record now sits at 9-0. As for New Caney, their record is now 2-7.

It's a different story for New Caney, though, as they've been averaging only 136.9 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Everything came up roses for College Park against New Caney when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-13 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was JOHNSON, who picked up 64 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 98 yards.
