Softball Recap: LEAP Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trenton Central, LEAP Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Winslow Township Eagles by a score of 11-8. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lancers as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

C Murray was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was W Diaz, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

LEAP Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Winslow Township, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

LEAP Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 23-22 win against Mastery on the 18th. As for Winslow Township, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-4 loss against Bishop Eustace Prep on the 20th.
