Recap: Auburn Mountainview Lions vs. Jefferson Raiders

The Auburn Mountainview Lions can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They breezed by Jefferson on the road to the tune of 68-31. Given Auburn Mountainview's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Jefferson is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caleb Bowden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Sebastian Arius was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

The win makes it two in a row for Auburn Mountainview and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn Mountainview will take on Kentlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kentlake is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Jefferson, they will play host again and welcome Auburn, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Auburn knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Jefferson likes a good challenge.
