Flag Football Recap: George Washington Comes Up Short Despite Jada Mcconnell-Ashe's Big Defensive Game

The George Washington Patriots lost to the Monarch Coyotes at home by a 23-6 margin on Saturday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, George Washington's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Jada McConnell-Ashe was especially locked on to Monarch's QB and sacked her twice.

A big part of Monarch's win came down to the chemistry between Sidney Miller and her top target Avery Kennedy. Miller rushed for 26 yards and two scores while Kennedy picked up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 26 rushing yards gave Miller a new career-high.

George Washington's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Monarch, the victory also got them back to even at 5-5.

George Washington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 30-6 win against Regis Groff on the 30th. As for Monarch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-0 victory against Bruce Randolph on the 3rd.
