Basketball Recap: Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys vs. Timberlake Christian Tornadoes

The Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys won the last time they faced the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes, and things went their way on Thursday too. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy took down the Tornadoes 60-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Isiah Keep, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Keep has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Micah Vandelinde was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.

Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adrian Warrick, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Epps, who scored eight points.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Timberlake Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

As for Timberlake Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the EAGLES at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Roanoke Valley Christian will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.
