After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dr. Phillips, Freedom was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Boone Braves 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 on March 6th.
The team relied heavily on Blake Echols, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
Freedom's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Boone, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-8.
Coming up, Freedom will challenge Tohopekaliga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Boone, they will face off against Cypress Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
