Soccer Recap: Luling Comes Up Short

Luling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Cole Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in January.

Luling's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Cole, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Luling will square off against La Vernia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Vernia will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Luling surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cole, they will take on Young Men's Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Cole's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Young Men's Leadership Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
