The Whitewright Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Tioga Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Whitewright had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Ector on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Eagles 17-7. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Graham Elliott made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Whitewright is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-9 otherwise. Elliott was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ian Jordan was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jett Henley, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Whitewright kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Tioga can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Dodd City with a sharp 18-3 victory.
Tioga got a massive performance out of Austin Norwood, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Landon Bingham was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI.
The win got Whitewright back to even at 10-10. As for Tioga, their record now sits at 8-11-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Whitewright has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tioga struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Whitewright skirted past Tioga 8-7 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
