Basketball Game Preview: Danbury Panthers vs. Evadale Rebels

The Danbury Panthers will challenge the Evadale Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Danbury duked it out withBig Sandy on Friday. Danbury fell to Big Sandy 42-38. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Evadale entered their tilt with Deweyville on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pirates 92-28. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-15.

Evadale had a senior duo take command as Jaden Gravis went 9 of 14 en route to 20 points along with eight steals and seven assists and Warren Brewer went 9 for 13 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. Gravis' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Devin Terrell was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Evadale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Danbury's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Evadale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.
