Soccer Game Preview: South Stanly vs. Mount Pleasant

South Stanly hasn't had much luck against Mount Pleasant recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls are taking a road trip to square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. South Stanly has given up an average of 7.4 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Stanly is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 5-1 to Albemarle. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly South Stanly struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, Mount Pleasant fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Gray Stone Day on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3. Mount Pleasant have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

South Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mount Pleasant, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-3.

South Stanly suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Mount Pleasant in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Rowdy Rebel Bulls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
