Softball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Chelan

Chelan hadn't done well against Cascade recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mountain Goats blew past the Kodiaks 14-4. Considering the Mountain Goats have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Chelan, bringing their record up to 10-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Cascade, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cascade will head out to face off against Waterville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chelan will be paying especially close attention to the Kodiaks' matchup: after the Kodiaks face off against the Shockers, they'll take on Chelan again at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
