Baseball Game Preview: Bensalem Fighting Owls vs. Harry S. Truman Tigers

For the second straight game, Bensalem will face off against Harry S. Truman. The Fighting Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bensalem has three straight wins, Harry S. Truman has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Bensalem needed a bit of extra time to put away Harry S. Truman. They skirted past the Tigers 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fighting Owls have posted since May 9, 2024.

Hayden Sorrensen looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mikey Kramer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tommy Jackson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bensalem pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Harry S. Truman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
