Volleyball Game Preview: Portola Tigers vs. Maxwell Panthers

The Portola Tigers will take on the Maxwell Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Portola is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 4th on Thursday. They came up short against Quincy, falling 3-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-7, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Maxwell made easy work of Biggs on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Maxwell's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Portola, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Portola came out on top in a nail-biter against Maxwell in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
