Lamar put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Heights Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout. The Texans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by three goals or more this season.

Brooke Mansour and Nahomy Portillo scored all three of Lamar's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 54 goals.

Lamar pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Heights will both be playing Bellaire the next time they take the pitch. Heights will head out to face Bellaire at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Lamar will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
