It was a good run, but Buena Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Sanford Mustangs. The Demons were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 24-26, 25-19.

Buena Vista's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Sanford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Buena Vista will square off against Custer County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sanford, they will face off against Centauri at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
