Baseball Recap: Stayton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Stayton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Marist Spartans by a score of 8-5. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Spartans two weeks ago, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

The victory got Stayton back to even at 4-4. As for Marist, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stayton will face off against Pleasant Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marist, they will venture away from home to take on St. Helens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
