Basketball Game Recap: Kopperl Eagles vs. Mount Calm

Even though the Kopperl Eagles have not done well against Mount Calm recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Kopperl skirted past Mount Calm 48-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kopperl.

Kopperl's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Payen led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Payen has scored at least 25% of Kopperl's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

The win got Kopperl back to even at 2-2. As for Mount Calm, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Kopperl is on the road again on Thursday and play against Evant at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. As for Mount Calm, they will challenge Avalon at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Avalon is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
