Baseball Recap: Greater Johnstown Takes a Loss

Greater Johnstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Bishop McCort Crushers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crushers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Greater Johnstown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Barrett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Greater Johnstown's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Bishop McCort, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Greater Johnstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop McCort, they will take on Forest Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Crushers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
