Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Bloom). They were the clear victors by  a  26-1 margin over the Thornton Wildcats on Thursday. Considering the Blazing Trojan have won 11 matches by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 D'Majae Montgomery was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He is becoming a predictor of Bloom's success: when he allows at  most two  hits the team is 6-2 (and 9-10 when he doesn't). Montgomery was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Christian Mendoza was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  stolen bases,  and six  RBI while going 2-for-4. He also  scored four  runs, which is notable because Bloom is 9-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 6-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Talen Taverne, who  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  RBI.
 Bloom  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
The  win made it two in a row for Bloom and  bumps their season record up to 15-12. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8  runs in those games. As for Thornton,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-15-1.
 Bloom wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  6-2  win against Thornwood on the 19th. As for Thornton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  0-0  victory against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus on the 19th.
