Soccer Game Preview: Templeton vs. Cabrillo

Templeton hasn't had much luck against Cabrillo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Templeton Eagles will be playing at home against the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 1:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Templeton's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Atascadero by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Orcutt Academy. Even though the Conquistadores got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Cristiano Medeiros was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Templeton pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Cabrillo, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
