Basketball Recap: Minneapolis South Comes Up Short

It was a classic North v. South duel when Minneapolis South duked it out with North Community on Wednesday. The Minneapolis South Tigers took a 67-53 bruising from the North Community Polars. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Polars are ranked 110th).

Minneapolis South has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for North Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Minneapolis South will challenge Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Community, they will look to defend their home court on February 14th against Esko at 5:30 p.m.
