Soccer Recap: Rockbridge County Comes Up Short

Rockbridge County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Rocktown Raptors. While losing is never fun, Rockbridge County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Rocktown are ranked 36th).

Rockbridge County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rocktown, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County will challenge Broadway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rocktown, they will face off against Turner Ashby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Turner Ashby will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Rocktown surely won't give up without a fight.
