Softball Game Preview: Converse Wildcats vs. Montgomery Tigers

Converse hasn't had much luck against Montgomery recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Converse Wildcats take on Montgomery Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Converse will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Converse is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 22-4 margin over Ebarb on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Montgomery lost 13-3 to Logansport on Tuesday. Montgomery has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Converse's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
