Volleyball Recap: Indio Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Indio, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Twentynine Palms Wildcats 3-0 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Rajahs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Indio walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-18.

It was another big night for Anitzi Zarco, who had 23 digs and three aces.

Zarco wasn't the only good server: Indio was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive games.

Indio's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. As for Twentynine Palms, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Indio will face off against rival Coachella Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Twentynine Palms is set to take on their familiar foe Yucca Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
