Basketball Recap: Fitch Takes Down Ludlowe in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fitch had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against Ludlowe by a score of 70-58. Winning may never get old, but Fitch sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Fitch was led to victory by Xavier Goode and Si'Kis Reels. Goode went 7-for-14 on his way to 20 points along with seven assists and seven boards, while Reels shot 70% from beyond the arc to rack up 25 points and six rebounds. Goode's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malakhi Sabb, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Fitch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Fitch's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Ludlowe, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.

Coming up, Fitch will challenge McMahon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McMahon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Fitch likes a good challenge. Ludlowe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
