Dallas County came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Maplesville, but Chris Simon wouldn't allow it. The Red Devils secured a 54-50 W over the Hornets on Friday for which the team can thank Simon, who shot 63% from the field en route to 24 points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Maplesville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 60.5 points this season. As for Dallas County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maplesville will be home for the holidays to greet Ellwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
