Preview: Genoa-Hugo vs. Hanover
Genoa-Hugo will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against Hanover at 2:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Genoa-Hugo took their match against Deer Trail last Friday by a conclusive 52-31 score. Freshman Wyatt Miller, who rushed for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Genoa-Hugo's success. In fact, with 11 tackles Miller was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Hanover, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They steamrollered Colorado School for the Deaf Blind 69-31. With Hanover ahead 42-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Genoa-Hugo to 1-2 and Hanover to 2-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Hanover and Genoa-Hugo will really light up the scoreboard.
