Basketball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss

Arlington lost against Poly back in April of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The matchup between the Arlington Lions and the Poly Bears didn't end well, with the Arlington Lions falling 65-49. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Bears are ranked 126th).

This is the second loss in a row for Arlington and nudges their season record down to 8-10. As for Poly, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington will venture away from home to challenge Rancho Verde at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poly, they will head out to take on Valley View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Poly is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
