Baseball Recap: Lowell Has No Trouble Against Camas Valley

While Lowell put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Camas Valley. The Devils blew past the Hornets 13-0. The victory continues a trend for the Devils in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won six in a row.

Adam Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lowell got a big performance out of Jamar Thurman, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Thurman a new career-high. Wyatt McNamee was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Lowell's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Camas Valley, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Lowell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-1 win against Riddle on the 26th. As for Camas Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against North Douglas on the 25th.
