Softball Recap: Warren East Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Allen County-Scottsville, Warren East was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Glasgow Scotties as they made off with a 14-5 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Lydia Jones was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Kenzie Upton was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Warren East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glasgow only posted an OBP of .310.

Warren East is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Glasgow, they dropped their record down to 3-19 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Warren East will take on Allen County-Scottsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glasgow, they will face off against Cumberland County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
