Basketball Recap: Lone Pine's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Big Pine last Thursday, Lone Pine came back down to earth. The Lone Pine Golden Eagles took a 53-38 bruising from the Bishop Union Broncos on Friday. The contest marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Lone Pine saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cristian Duran posted 14 points. Duran has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Adrian Hernandez was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lone Pine's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Bishop Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
