Basketball Recap: Campbell County Takes a Loss

Campbell County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of the Central Indians. The Camels' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Campbell County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Patience Smith, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Kuhbacher, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Campbell County's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
